Celebrities fascinate the public because they lead lives that average people can only fantasize about. Perhaps each celebrity signifies an archetypal attitude blown up larger than life that all of us express on an every day level. Here are my predictions for the celebrities that hold our attention.

Russell Crowe will captivate audiences over the next two years with a series of blockbuster movie roles putting him on the oscar list once again. I also see two more babies coming into his marriage having a stabilizing effect upon him.

Sylvester Stallone will make a career mistake by resurrecting yet another Rocky sequel however the upshot will be a series of highly acclaimed supporting character roles.

Singer k.d. Lang will have a huge career comeback upon ditching and suing her former manager. She will go on to record more duet records with legendary singers Tony Bennett and Linda Ronstadt.

Singer Linda Ronstadt will undergo an image make over and begin her own career comeback recording an album of duets with her former collaborators winning her a few more grammy awards. She will also sing an oscar winning tune composed for film by a legendary songwriter.

Denzel Washington, Morgan Freedman and Danny Glover will be offered a screen project that unites the actors playing family members. This project will result in becoming an award winning movie classic.

Ashley Simpson will make another series of sloppy performances and bad lip-sync choices cementing her already tainted reputation as just another overblown Disney tart!

Jake Gyllenhal will become one of Hollywood’s most acclaimed actors.

Oprah Winfrey will find great success with her musical The Color Purple. She will also produce a big screen version within two years of the play’s opening.

The Alkaline Trio will become one of the best selling Rock n’ Roll bands in 2006. Though they will not desire to sell out as artists, their dark lyrics juxtaposed overly energetic music will keep fans. The critics will adore them and the award shows will follow suit.

Simon Cowell of American Idol fame will be scandalized when a “tell all” book comes out from a disgruntled exlover, exposing his sexuality. This will have little effect upon his already bitchy reputation in fact it will explain what we’ve already sensed.

Singer Lil Kim will create her best work ever as she releases albums before leaving prison to be greeted by many more new fans. Her greatest successes lie before her and she’s destined to find grammy gold and a new sitcom smash in her future.

Jennifer Garner and Ben Affleck who will start the year reveling in their new parenthood as news of their second child on the way comes in late 2006, or early 2007. Ben Affleck will enter politics but not by taking office just yet. He will become a powerful spokesperson for equal rights.

Mary Matlin will be caught in the middle of political scandal bringing her a lot of negative press and much ridicule. To make matters worse she will find herself mercilessly spoofed by a comic on Saturday Night Live that will further tarnish her reputation.

Shakira will become one of the best selling worldwide artist ever! Her Spanish and English records will sell by the millions. Her worldwide appeal will lead her to take on a series of movie roles establishing her as an actress. Though she wishes to establish a more stable personal life she will successfully juggle her huge career with marriage and  children. Shakira biggest success will come when she records a straight rock n’ roll album with many rock legends including Steven Tyler, Mick
Jagger and Bonnie Raitt just to name a few.

Green Day will bring their Pop Punk opera “American Idiot” to both stage and screen meeting huge success.

They will also come out with a new smash album of light, bouncy Pogo-Punk tunes with politically relevant themes. The band will sport a slightly different look as I see Billy Joe wearing a brand new primary hair color.

John Cusack will stun longtime fans by taking on a series of wildly diverse roles that include altering his appearance. The results will be staggeringly successful with several oscar nods.

Former Guns and Roses front person Axel Rose will become addicted to gender bending plastic surgery and he will record an album of Janis Joplin covers. Axel’s eerie resemblance to Janis will raise more than a few eyebrows though the record will be well received. Axel will go on to record an album of duets with Michael Jackson who will remain out of the USA refusing to tour the US.

Michael Moore will break box office records with yet another scathing documentary exposing more Bush Administration-White House scandals.

Halle Berry will star as a musical performer in a wildly successful period piece portraying the life of a tragic late fifties-early sixties songstress. This will be a wise career choice bringing many awards to her mantle including another Academy Award.

Martha Stewart will gain much success when she producers and promotes a documentary about women behind bars bringing the reality of the hellacious lives of female prisoners to television viewers, she will win another emmy. Martha will then go on to educate the public about the prison system by sponsoring outreach programs to help rehabilitate these women. Martha will go on to star in a brand new daytime talk show where she will be more relaxed and informal. The new show will have Martha schmoozing her celebrity guest stars sharing their recipes, personal stories and home decorating tricks. The new show will be a raging success.

Tom Cruise will be plagued by another series of scandals regarding his personal life style. As a result his box office appeal will begin to slip putting him out of his leading man status into more character roles. He will begin to direct projects finding much success as a director.

Television reporter Rita Cosby will be rendered silent as a result of chronic throat problems due to nodes on her vocal chords. She will become involved in writing articles and books which will prove a lucrative career move.

Singer Joss Stone will continue to become one of the world’s best blues singers. I see her collaborating with blues diva Etta James on a project that will bring her further acclaim as one of the greatest, modern day blues voices.

Right winger Rush Limbaugh will suffer from more bad publicity as a result of new substance abuse problems and more rehabs. Rush’s talk show will gradually lose popularity and be dropped. People tire of his hypocrisy and the political climate becomes less patient with his hateful rants.

The Dixie Chicks will make a huge comeback with a pop-country rock oriented new album. They will be very well received by critics, radio and grammy alumni.

Matthew St. Patrick will make a huge leap from television star to the big screen as a major leading man. He will become an award winning actor known for playing many diverse roles. He will also revive the leading role in a new spin on a classic play, portraying a famous detective character. The huge success of his role will lead him to recreate the character again on screen.

Pop star Pink will stun audiences when she stars as the late, great blues singer Janis Joplin establishing herself as a major movie star with an oscar nod. Her second role will also be a dramatic role that cements her reputation as an actress of great range. Her Janis Joplin role will revive a huge the interest in the 1960’s rock n’ roll icon due to the album from her film. This Janis revival will create many copycat artists including Axel Rose to follow suit. Pink will take home a record number of Grammy’s for a female artist by uniting the pop, r&b and rock n’ roll audiences with her  homage to Janis. Pink will continue her pop star status while delving into more r&b, blues and jazz music projects. I also see a baby coming soon afterwards as her marriage will remain happy and grounded.

Madonna will find great success with her new record while taking on a series of rich supporting actress movie roles. She will find some acceptance as a character actress under the guidance of a well known director who brings out the best in her acting.

Sean Penn will continue to astound audiences with a series of great acting roles as her ventures into directing and producing.

Beyonce will also be well received for her movie roles and also come to Broadway in a non-musical dramatic role winning her a tony award. This will also lead to a rich career as a stage actress leading her back to Broadway and The West End. However Beyonce will always remain connected to film and to music. Destiny’s Child will have many revivals throughout her solo projects as the appreciation for the trio ages like fine wine.

Actress-singer Jennifer Lopez will divorce singer Mark Anthony when she falls into the arms of a screen hunk co-star. She will find that she needs more excitement in her life and feel a true passion that seems to be lacking in her life. Though this will seem to be another frenzy of passion for Jennifer, she will find the right chemistry this next time. Jennifer craves excitement. Jennifer’s
acting chops will be challenged by several demanding and dramatic roles that pay off immensely with critical acclaim and awards.

Quirky pop group Scissor Sisters will continue finding their success in The UK and Europe while not quite taking off in the USA due to controversy over the sexuality and political remarks by their members. A boycott will ensue in the USA by conservatives.

Right wing zealot Ann Coulter will be attacked violently and slugged out on a news show by an opponent tired of her hateful rhetoric. She will also suffer great personal difficulties in 2006 and 2007 in her family. Her professional life will become just as rocky with a huge backlash from women’s groups and from the African American community for a series of hateful remarks that she will make.  Ann’s “credibility” will slide down the tubes from right winger to wing nut!

Cher will make yet another comeback album after she writes and composes some of the music for a screen project. She will cave into the demands of her fans and make more award winning records and auspicious tours placing her yet again in the top ten.

Kanye West will develop a subsidiary record label signing and marketing a bevy of gay, lesbian and transgender hip hop, r & b, rap and rock artists.
Kanye West will open up tolerance and education towards all people in the music communities. Though criticized by certain people he will prevail to build yet another music empire. Kanye’s controversial artists will cross over as mainstream artists known and loved for their musical gifts. Kanye West will also collaborate with Boy George on a wildly successful project. Kanye will go on to push the envelope by developing a side project by introducing African- American and Latin-American Country & Western Artists knocking down stereotypes and racial divisions in  country music. Kanye will go down as one of the world’s most inclusive artist and humanitarians ever following the footsteps of Bono and Bob Geldof..

Fifty Cent will find great success as a screen comedian with a series a brilliant buddy flicks. He will also do a successful sitcom as the husband of an interracial family. The concept will unite many audience members who will be able to relate to a rich and diverse cast if characters. The show’s popularity will become one of the longest running television shows ever!

MSNBC anchor Monica Crowley will be fired by MSNBC for being too politically biased. Americans will become less tolerant from hearing only one side of the story and reputable news stations will have to take on a more balanced view of domestic and world news. The mythological liberal media has become too far right by placating special interests of right wing ideologies. Monica will be hired by Fox News where she will be better appreciated for her totally biased, extreme right wing politics.

Alan Keyes will be diagnosed with paranoid schizophrenia and manic depressive psychosis which will explain his already bizarre behavior. His lesbian daughter will come to his rescue and mend their rift. Once medicated and rehabilitated he will become a spokesperson for The Gay Legal Defense Fund, raising millions of dollars for Gay and Lesbian legal rights.

Actress Sarah Jessica parker will become a mom again announcing another pregnancy in the 2006 year.  Sarah will return to movies later in the decade in a series of great character roles to find Oscar gold.

Bono will continue his work to end world hunger and bring awareness to Africa’s starvation and the  AIDs epidemic in Africa. He will team up with Fifty Cent, Kanye West and Bob Geldorf promoting a concert to end hunger and suffering in Africa. The concert will be staged in West Africa and bring billions of dollars to establish food bands and medical clinics in West Africa.

Ashanti will reap great success as an r&b/pop singer. I see Ashanti winning awards when she goes on to perform in a period piece on Broadway where she will go on to sing jazz. This will open up a whole new genre to Ashanti as she records a record of jazz standards to become extremely well received. I see great things coming to Ashanti in both her personal and private lives.

Jennifer Aniston will star in a new dramatic television show finding great success again on television while maintaining a movie career. She will dramatically alter her look donning dark brunette hair and brown contacts for a movie role that will win her huge success and awards.
